Homebirth

According to the CDC, in 2012, 1.36% of babies in the U.S. were born outside a hospital. Homebirth is not a mainstream choice: however, for many families, it is a wonderful choice.

Why would someone choose to birth at home?

There are many advantages to birthing in your own home.  The hormone that causes a woman's uterus to contract is oxytocin, the love hormone.  What better way to get that oxytocin flowing than being in the comfort of your own home?
